Peter

He was rough he was tough
He was a leader of men
He was loud he was proud
He was a - fisherman
But he met Jesus the Christ one day
And Peter was born again!

Peter, Peter, come follow me
Leave your, leave your life on the sea
You’ve been born again
So come fish for men
Oh Peter- - - -come follow me!

He was bold when he told Jesus
He’d stick with him
But he lied and denied that he
Was his friend
Then Jesus taught him what forgiveness is
He loved him until the end

Crucified, Jesus died,
Peter was filled with gloom
But he heard Mary‘s word
and he ran to the tomb
Peter saw Jesus was alive again
Now he had the power to live for him
