Give Thanks

When you’re up give thanks
When you’re down give thanks
When your smile has turned into a frown give thanks
In everything give thanks for this is the will of God
In Christ Jesus concerning you

David was a man after God’s own heart
But he didn’t have an easy life from the very start
Mocked by his brothers, hunted down by the king
But David had learned how to give thanks and sing
