Satisfied
Satisfied, what a joy to be satisfied
Not in earthly treasures or worldly pleasures
But in the Lord, I shall be
Satisfied when I awake with thy likeness
Satisfied in my Savior, satisfied in his Word
Jonah wasn’t satisfied to just do what God said
Nineveh was full of bad guys so he ran the other way instead
Nineveh repented but Jonah still pouted because he didn’t get his wish
You’d think he’d learned to be satisfied
after being in the belly of a gigantic fish!
Satisfied to leave the glory of his heavenly home
To bear the sin of man and suffer on the cross alone
When Father, forgive them, It is finished! Jesus cried
The debt of sin was paid in full and God was satisfied
